What is a tiny shrine?
A shrine is a place of Catholic devotion and prayer often dedicated to saint. A tiny shrine is pocket-sized version of the real thing. Inspired by the street shrines of Italy - a tiny shrine can be placed anywhere: on a window sill, in a planter box, on a mailbox, in a tree, along a walking path, in your purse.
How do you make a tiny shrine?
There is no correct way to make a tiny shrine. Resin is an ideal medium as it is weatherproof and versatile. You can use a variety of "containers"; shells, mint tins, jar lids, or silicon molds. A tiny shrine is a great way to recycle old holy cards, Magnificats, broken jewelry, sea shells etc. At some point, this site may host some Youtube video tutorials. If you would like a QR code to paste on your shrine to direct them here - you can download and print here.
Can you buy a tiny shrine?
The mission is to give Tiny Shrines away for free by leaving them in public places. If you found and kept a tiny shrine feel free to donate here. The proceeds will help fund more tiny shrines.
